In today’s session we discussed the 4 core principles of HoloMovement.


  1. Circular intent

  2. Yin Yang

  3. Reduce Internal Resistance

  4. Resonance


Circular Intent

  • command the body non linearly, at least 2-way for each joint

  • make all points in the body “train head”, no body parts is passive


Yin Yang

  • Software (the mind) vs Hardware (the physical body)

  • Inwards (bones driven) vs Outwards (muscles driven)

  • Yin Yang is not absolute black vs white (your cannot turn left without going right)

  • blend yin yang for a synergy effect


Reduce Internal Resistance

  • perception affects motion quality

  • change the way you think can improve fluidity and momentum transfer


Resonance

  • 1 + 1 >2

  • achieve resonance by improving cohernece on 3 planes


We also practiced the Torus Squat, by changing from Up-Down (linear command) to Compression-Expansion (3D command)
